My father, Willie Mack Johnson's last words to us five children were "to finish college." He wasn't able to finish since after returning as a US Army veteran to his home he was jailed for having a multitracial relationship in Barbour County, Alabama, where Klu Klux Klan regularly held peaceful marches on his street. He was forced to move to Ohio where he met my mother Caroline Steele. I learned that enduring adversity with a righteous purpose and focus goodness, prosperity, and justice always prevail. I now live happily in Alexandria. Virginia, with my wife, Somporn Ketaroonrat, who has two sons from Thailand.
