Eric Kearney
Eric H. Kearney (b. October 27, 1963) is a former Democratic member of the Ohio State Senate, representing District 9 from his appointment in December 2005 to January 5, 2015. He served as Minority Leader from 2012 to 2013.
Kearney was running for Lieutenant Governor of Ohio in 2014 on a ticket with Ed FitzGerald but withdrew from the race due to personal tax problems.[1][2]
He was ineligible to run for re-election to the Senate in 2014 because of term-limits. Cecil Thomas (D) was elected to the seat in the November 4, 2014, general election.
Biography
Kearney earned his B.A. in English from Dartmouth College and his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati School of Law. His professional experience includes being the founder of Sesh Communications and as a partner at the law firm of Cohen, Todd, Kit & Stanford, LLC.[3]

2014
Kearney was running for election to the office of Lieutenant Governor of Ohio on a ticket with Ed FitzGerald. However, he withdrew from the race in December 2013 due to personal tax problems.[4]

Kearney won re-election to the Ohio State Senate against Deborah M. McKinney (R) and Jessica L. Mears (L). None of the candidates were opposed in the primary election on May 4, 2010. The election took place on November 2, 2010.[5][6][7][8]
