Erica Smith, a county employee for over 5 years who is a certified purchasing specialist, is a qualified and experienced public servant who intends to manage and run the office in a bi-partisan manner while focusing on core functions.

Smith is a lifelong resident of Jarrell, Texas and Williamson County who attended Southwestern University on an academic scholarship and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Political Science and minoring in Economics.

While attending Southwestern, Smith interned with the Texas House of Representatives, and this experience gave her the exposure to state-level politics and led her to pursue a career in public service.

Moreover, Smith has previous private sector experience, including working as a merchandise manager and buyer for Northwest Petroleum. She and her husband Brian Smith reside in Jarrell, Texas with their son.

  • I am qualified, experienced, and ready for public service to give back to our county and local communities.
  • I will focus on core functions of office and not politicize the office.
  • I have already worked on large procurement projects in Williamson County, and I am ready to help deliver cost-efficient services in a welcoming environment.
The county clerk is an important countywide position that maintains files for the courts, issues marriage license and other vital records, serves on the bail bond board to oversee licenses for local bond companies and also votes on the appointment of the local Elections Administrator. Williamson County needs a qualified, good tempered and fair county clerk who will stick to core functions of public service and not politicize the office. For me, the goal should always be public service for all residents and constituents.
