Longie ran in the 2010 election for North Dakota State House District 23. Longie ran with incumbent Ben Vig in the Democratic primary election on June 8, 2010. Longie and Vig were defeated by incumbent Don Vigesaa (D) and William Devlin (D) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[1][2]
