Erik S. Rohrer

Erik Rohrer is a judge for the Clallam County Superior Court in Washington. He was elected to the superior court on November 6, 2012.[1]
Rohrer won re-election in 2016. He was unopposed in the general election on November 8, 2016.
Education
Rohrer received his undergraduate degree from Western Washington University in 1980 and his law degree from Willamette University College of Law in 1985.[2]
Career
Judge Rohrer began his legal career at private law firms in Seattle and Wenatchee. In 1991, after being hired as an Assistant Attorney General by former Attorney General Ken Eikenberry, Rohrer moved to Port Angeles to help open the area's first Attorney General's Office. He served as lead attorney and manager of that office for ten years.[2] From 2001 to 2012 he served as a judge for the Clallam County District Court II in Clallam County, Washington.[3] He also serves as a Clallam County Superior Court Commissioner.[2]
Awards and associations
Rohrer is active in community affairs, currently serving as past-president and board member of the Peninsula College Board of Trustees, chair of the bipartisan Washington State Office of Civil Legal Aid Oversight Committee and board member of the Peninsula Trails Coalition. He has previously been president of the boards of several other organizations, including the Forks Chamber of Commerce and the Forks Hospital Foundation.[2]
Elections
2016
Washington held general elections for local judicial offices on November 8, 2016. Candidates for district and superior court seats had to file for election by May 20, 2016. Primary elections were held on August 2, 2016, for six seats where more than two candidates filed for election. Incumbent Erik Rohrer ran unopposed in the Clallam County Superior Court nonpartisan general election for Position 1.[4]

2012
Rohrer was elected to a seat on the Clallam County Superior Court that is being vacated by Judge Ken Williams. He advanced from the primary election, winning 36.57 percent of the vote and then defeated Christopher Melly in the general election on November 6, 2012, winning 55.78 percent of the vote.[5][6][7][1]
