Campaign website
Benfield's campaign website stated the following:
“ |
Advance the America First Agenda On National Small Business Week in 2020, I was appointed as a delegate by President Trump to address our nation with him on how the America First agenda has affected my American Dream. I fully back the America First Agenda and together we will make American jobs a priority again. We need to continue to create jobs, support American manufacturing, stand up to China, and drain the DC swamp.
President Trump’s policies cut illegal immigration. Joe Biden has created a new crisis on the border. We need to secure the border, end illegal immigration, and hold lawbreakers accountable. Our local Sheriff has extended an invitation to learn more about the resources needed to help stop the catch and release program by the Biden administration. I will be traveling to the Rio Grande Border area in Edinburg, Texas this August to better understand the resources needed to secure the border and support our border patrol.
I’m a gun owner, and I believe that the 2nd Amendment was put there by our Founders as a bulwark against an overpowerful government. I will never give an inch to the gun-grabbers. My husband works for the USCCA and we advocate for gun training and education in our district. I received an NRA A rating in 2020 and 2022.
I am unapologetically pro-life. I believe that all life is sacred and must be protected, and I will fight Nancy Pelosi’s attempts to use taxpayer dollars to fund abortion mills. My Pro Life Coalition includes community leaders and pro life advocates that strongly support life. I became a mother at a young age because I believe children are a gift from God. Today, I am the super proud grandmother of two precious grandchildren and I will support life at every stage.
Republicans back the principle of limited government. Joe Biden’s spending will continue to cripple our economy, drive up inflation, and give our money away to special interests and pet projects. They must be stopped. As a fiscal conservative, I know how to balance my home budget, business budget and a conservative city government budget. This experience will help me get to work right away after stating my oath and taking my hand off the bible.
It’s your money, not the government’s. Families and small businesses should keep more of what they earn, and government needs to stop telling us how to live our lives. I know what it's like to have very little and to be blessed. I will take those principles with me to Congress to better serve us.
Nancy Pelosi and AOC are pushing a federal takeover of elections that will eliminate voter ID, mail ballots to any registered voter, and give taxpayer funding to candidates. They must be stopped, and our elections must be secure and fair. I support voter I.D. and legal citizens only required proof to take part in our most sacred tradition to protect our republic.[1] |
