My name is Erin Rosiello and I am running for Statehouse District 62. I am running because we need to restore Ohio's promise of better lives, brighter futures and an economy that works for everyone. Unfortunately, too many broken promises have left many Ohioans behind. The #OhioPromise is my commitment to our community to work together to deliver real results and expand opportunity to all Ohioans.

I remember when Ohio had strong working class families and: • Could live the American Dream, right here at home • Where if you worked hard, you could get ahead • Where Family was first and had access to quality education, healthcare, paid family leave and equal pay • Growing up, I remember when Ohio was a place where we could live, work and retire with safety and security. Unfortunately, years of broken promises have rigged the system against everyday Ohioans and I believe that Ohioans should have the chance, once again to live the American Dream, right here at home. I am running because I want to begin changing that culture - by fighting for all my constituents and focusing on what most Ohioans really care about: being prepared to meet the challenges that they and their family will face in the years ahead.

  • You can live the American Dream right here at home- empowering people to pursue their idea of the American Dream and that begins with access to education and skills to make their own choices.
  • If you work hard you can get ahead- making sure one job is good enough so we pledge to hold companies accountable to their employees and provide fair wages, benefits and security.
  • I want to work for you- as your elected lawmakers I pledge to come to Columbus, go to work for you, and get the job done
We need a healthcare system that is both accessible and adequate. Protecting healthcare is about more than just staying healthy. It is about making sure that Ohioans and their families will have access to medical care and economic support when the worst happens. In light of Covid-19 it has become painfully obvious that we fall short in providing Ohioans the necessary health coverage, paid sick leave and family leave necessary to navigate hard times like this unprecedented pandemic.
I look up to my mother Winonah (Beamer) Myers who passed away, March of 2018. My mother was was an American political activist, who, in 1961 at the age of 19, became a Freedom Rider. She was arrested in Jackson, Mississippi and spent almost six months in Mississippi State Penitentiary, better known as Parchman Farm, the oldest prison and the only maximum-security prison for men in the state of Mississippi. Of all the Freedom Riders, white or black, my mother served the longest sentence and was the only Freedom Rider who served her full term. My mother provided me with selfless examples of how ordinary citizens can bring about change.
A film that reflects my political philosophy is "Dave" (Kevin Kline, 1993) in which the hero shows the politicians how to be a true servant-leader. That means putting the interests of all Americans above any self-interest and finding practical ways to meet the needs of all.
A lifetime learner, athlete and career in consulting businesses I have a unique combination of qualities that will make me successful as a Statehouse Representative.

I am not a stranger to hard work and willing to work hard to be successful. I graduated from Dayton Public schools at the age of seventeen and attended College at both Muskingum and Miami Universities with scholarships for running both track and cross-country. The discipline, focus and teamwork required to obtain college scholarships and graduate from college by the age of 21 have stayed with me throughout my life and provided a baseline for my success throughout my adult life.

A career in sales, marketing, civil service and as an entrepreneur have prepared me to be a bi-partisan problem-solver, negotiator and community leader. While community involvement as a Clermont 20/20 Leadership Graduate, an OSU Certified Public Manager Graduate, a founding member of Cincinnati East Side Rotary, as well as, a graduate of the Miami Township's Citizens Police Academy have enhanced teamwork, leadership skills and problem solving ability.

I am running for state representative because I want to do what our elected officials are supposed to do... serve the people that vote them into office and pay their salaries. My community involvement, business acumen and skills built over a lifetime of consultation in both the public and private sector have prepared me to represent our community with honed skills of listening, assessing, and creating collaborative solutions.
A person elected to public office should first and foremost be a servant-leader, someone who both works for and represents his or her constituents. Such a person should also be a problem-solver in the sense of recognizing issues as they arise and working with others to find practical ways of addressing them.
My very first job was cleaning giftware for a retail jeweler in Dayton, Ohio. I started cleaning giftware at the age of 16 and continued to work for the jewelry chain throughout high school and college, over summers and during Christmas and spring breaks. I business from the ground-up and performed almost every task imaginable as a student, from inventory, to office clerk, to delivery person, and eventually became VP of Marketing after college in my mid-twenties. This was a fantastic experience, that allowed me to understand a business from every aspect. I worked for the company over the course of 10 years and will always appreciate the business savvy and experience that this company provided.
I'm Still Standing -Elton John
Survivor- Destiny's Child
I am a mother, daughter, sister and neighbor that spent most of my career consulting businesses. I've also been a civil servant (worked for the State of Ohio), a business owner and my new normal... I am a cancer warrior and survivor.

Throughout my career I've worked hard to help Ohio businesses as a consultant, and as a manager for the state (Bureau of Workers' comp). About four years ago, I decided to take the plunge -and invest my life's savings to build a business from the ground up.

Little did I know that only a few months after we opened the doors, I would be diagnosed with lung cancer. Now, in addition to managing a new business, I had to battle for my life and for health insurance coverage. In face of adversity, I adapted quickly and It and has fueled my desire to help others, enhanced my ability to take on challenges and...to effectively manage major change.

This experience helped my realize that I am capable of getting things done, no matter what the circumstance. Being a cancer warrior ignited a fire in me, in part, because of the realization that - unless you are independently wealthy, we are all just one illness away from financial and medical destitution.

Having tackled and resolved significant life-challenges, I've been able to channel the fortitude gained from this harsh experience and will harness it to work for you.

While it may be beneficial for some state legislators to have prior government or political experience, it is not beneficial or productive if people with such backgrounds dominate the legislature as is the case today. As we have seen in Ohio, that leads to a legislature that is focused much more on ideological issues than finding practical solutions to the major challenges we face today or will face in the future. I believe that our legislature would be more productive if it had more members who were less politically partisan and more experienced in creative problem-solving and collaboration outside of the political-governmental arena.
I believe it its is beneficial, if not necessary to build relationships with other legislators. In order to problem solve and collaborate. Having some sort of connection with fellow House Representatives and Senators helps in the trust, negotiation and willingness of others to work together towards a common goal.
