Ernest Acevedo, Jr. was a 2014 candidate for the Bexar County Court at Law No. 14 in Texas.[1]

He was previously appointed to the court in 2009, but his term expired in 2010 when he was defeated in the general election.[2][3]

Acevedo ran for election to the Bexar County Court at Law No. 14.
Primary: He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on March 4, 2014.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 47.3 percent of the vote. He competed against Susan Skinner. [1][4][5]

Acevedo was defeated by Republican Bill C. White in the general election.[6]

Education

Acevedo earned a B.A. from St. Mary's University in 1991, going on to receive his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1994. He was admitted to the Texas Bar that same year.[7]

Career

Acevedo has worked as a DWI lawyer and lecturer in San Antonio.[7] He previously served as judge for the Bexar County Court at Law No. 14 from 2009 to 2010.[2]
