Jerri Strasser ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Erv Nelson defeated Troy Archer, Barry Keller, Max Miller-Hooks and Stuart Tener in the Republican primary. Nelson defeated Strasser in the general election.[5][6][7][8]
