Ethics Committee, Montana House of Representatives
The Ethics Committee is a standing committee of the Montana House of Representatives.[1]
Per House Rule 30-10, committees in the Montana House of Representatives are assigned by the Speaker of the House with input from the Minority Leader. The Speaker determines the number of members of each committee and names chairs and vice chairs. House standing committees have four classes: class one committees meet Monday through Friday; class two committees meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; class three committees meet Tuesday and Thursday; and on-call committees meet at the behest of the respective chairpersons.[2] The Speaker, Majority Leader and Minority Leader serve as non-voting ex officio members on all House committees for the purpose of establishing quorum.[3]
