Eugene P. Daugherity
Eugene P. Daugherity was a judge of the Illinois 3rd District Appellate Court. He assumed office on December 8, 2020. He left office on December 5, 2022.
The Illinois Supreme Court appointed Daugherity to the Thirteenth Circuit Court in Illinois on March 6, 2001, (effective March 23) to fill the vacancy created by Louis J. Perona's retirement.[1][2] He was retained in 2014 and 2020.[3][4]
Education
Daugherity earned a B.A. from Loyola University and a J.D. from DePaul University.[2]
Career
From 1982 until his judicial appointment in 2001, Daugherity was a managing partner of the Ottawa firm Myers, Daugherity, Berry, O'Connor & Kusma Ltd.[2]
Elections
2014
Daugherity was retained to the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court with 80.5 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [3]
Evaluations
The Illinois State Bar Association and participating attorneys rated Eugene P. Daugherity as Recommended for retention in a 2014 poll.[5]
