Campaign website

Yu’s campaign website stated the following:

EDUCATION

As a business owner, I understand that skilled workers with moral character makes for success. Education is at the center of that success. As your 7th District Representative, Georgians can be assured that I will advocate for the return to parental rights, academic vs social focused learning, and school choice.

ECONOMY

As a business man, I know that a strong economy is essential for the prosperity of Georgia's families and communities. Business owners create jobs and pay salaries with entrepreneurship and small businesses at the heart of the American Dream.

Heavy Government control and regulations make the American Dream difficult and expensive. The Government that governs least governs best. I will make it easy for Citizen to dream big without paying big. I will work tirelessly to create more jobs and economic opportunities for Georgians. I will stop the funneling of money without backing and American priorities first.

HEALTHCARE

America should be leading the world in healthcare for our citizens. As your Representative, I will promote billing reform, affordable healthcare through competition, not socialized medicine, and returning the power to doctors and patients for determining care, as opposed to protocols used to weaponize medicine.

NATIONAL SECURITY

Americans depend on their government to preserve and protect their way of life for themselves and their posterity. our 1st obligation is to those on our soil, then to those reaching our shores. It is that Constitutional Protection that drives thousands to our shore, and nations look to us in the time of need. I am proof America is for Immigration and an active part of the global community. I will fight for lawful entry into the US. To demand Border Security is not to keep people out, but to protect the lives and resources of those that dwell within. Safety first, then benevolence.

9 countries have nuclear capabilities. We have gone to war with 3 of these countries before, and tensions are mounting all across the globe with 6 of them. I advocate to ensure we are the best and the strongest at protecting Americans and our way of life.

ABORTION

Abortion— Human life, at all stages of development, in and out of the womb, must be protected. No exception.

PUBLIC SAFETY

The Crime Prevention Research Center reports that armed citizens reduce crime by 34%. I have and will always support the right of all Law Abiding American Citizens to protect themselves against any threat to their safety and well being.

First Responders—It is the lack of staff and proper support to first responders that has created unsafe neighborhoods and poor police relations. Add to that a growing hate for these protectors, our cities are becoming criminal playgrounds making our citizens open targets without defense. I will defend and support every first responder to ensure American Families are safe.[10]

Campaign website

Yu's campaign website stated the following:

Bureaucracy

Smaller Government

Our huge government bureaucracy is unnecessary and hurts economic growth...

Large government bureaucracy is unnecessary and hurts economic growth. Our Founding Fathers understood that the job of the government was to protect its citizens and their rights, not intrude into their private lives. Alongside the rights of citizens, many government regulations stifle business; Eugene will work hard in Washington to remove the redundant and pointless barriers that impede starting and growing small businesses.

The Federal government itself is too big. Every year its budget continues to grow, and so does our national debt. We must put a stop to this for our children’s sake. Eugene believes in a comprehensive audit of the Federal government and its spending. Any spending not beneficial to the American taxpayers should be cut.

Spending

Balanced Budget

Our national debt is out of control and growing every day...

Our national debt is out of control and growing every day. It is of paramount importance that we arrest this growing problem and begin paying the debt down. Eugene believes in a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution. Under his plan, the government should be revenue neutral while beginning to pay down the debt at 1% of our yearly GDP until the debt is paid off. Once we are out of debt as a country, that 1% will go towards the “rainy day fund,” which will be collected until there is a year’s worth of spending saved. This is strictly reserve money, to be used in case of war or natural disaster. In order to balance the budget, government spending will have to be reduced.

With his plan for smaller government and fewer regulations, the country should see small business growth take off. There will be no need to raise taxes to pay off our debt, as businesses will be doing well and employees will be making better wages; that means that the total taxes taken in by the Government will grow - without having to raise taxes at all.

Taxes

Lower Tax Rates

A balanced budget allows for tax cuts for middle and working-class Americans...

When the Balanced Budget becomes a reality, we can give tax cuts to hard-working middle and working-class Americans. With Big Government out of their daily lives, these families can decide for themselves the best way to use that money. As your congressman, Eugene will be an advocate for lower taxes so that hardworking American families can keep more of their well-deserved paychecks.

Trade

Fair Trade

NAFTA has cost the United States millions of jobs and billions of dollars...

NAFTA was negotiated during the Clinton years and has been a disaster for America. As a result of this deal, the United States lost millions of jobs and hundreds of billions of dollars. Since 2013, Eugene has been calling to drop NAFTA and replace it with a deal that benefits America first. As your congressman, Eugene will work to make sure that our international trade agreements are fair to Americans.

Politicians

Term Limits

Term limits would eliminate "career politicians" and their corrupt practices...

Term limits would change the landscape of Washington immediately. New faces would bring new ideas to the political arena. No longer would there be the “career politician,” who was elected at an early age and has no idea how life works out in the real world. committed to term limits for members of Congress and will call for an amendment that codifies term limits into the Constitution.[10]

Smaller Government

Our huge government bureaucracy is unnecessary and hurts economic growth. Our Founding Fathers understood that the job of the Government was to protect its citizens and their rights, not intrude into private lives. Many government regulations stifle business, and I will work hard in Washington to remove the redundant and pointless barriers that impede starting and growing small business.

The Federal government itself is too big. Every year its budget continues to grow, and so does our national debt. We must put a stop to this for our children’s sake. Many government programs are redundant and essentially do the same job, just through a different department. President Trump recently ordered a complete audit of the Pentagon for this reason. Not only do I support him in this, but I would go further and have a comprehensive audit of the entire Federal government and its spending. I believe that any spending not beneficial to the American taxpayers should be cut.

Balanced Budget

Our national debt is over 22 trillion dollars and growing every day. It is of paramount importance that we arrest this growing problem and begin paying the debt down. I believe in a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution. Under my plan, the government should be revenue neutral while beginning to pay down the debt at 1% of yearly GDP. We will do this until the debt is paid off. Once we are out of debt as a country, that 1% will go towards the “rainy day fund,” which we will collect until there is a year’s worth of spending saved. Lower Taxes

When the Balanced Budget becomes a reality, we can give tax cuts to hard-working middle- and working-class Americans. With Big Government out of their daily lives, I believe these families can decide for themselves the best way to use that money. President Trump proved this when he signed into law the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Over 80% of middle-class families got tax relief, and small business owners saw tax cuts of 20%. After this act went into effect, the economy roared back to life and has continued to show rapid growth. As an advocate of lower taxes for middle- and working-class Americans, I support the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, and I supported the President as he pushed this bill through Congress.

Fair Trade

NAFTA was negotiated during the Clinton years and has been a disaster for our country. As a result of this deal, the United States lost millions of jobs and hundreds of billions of dollars. Since 2013, I have been calling for dropping NAFTA and replacing it with a deal that benefited America first, and that’s exactly what President Trump did. As your congressman, I will work with the President to make sure that our trade deals around the world are fair to us.

Term Limits

Term limits would change the landscape of Washington immediately. New faces would bring new ideas to the political arena. No longer would there be the “career politician,” who was elected at an early age and has no idea how life works out in the real world. I am committed to term limits for members of Congress and will call for an amendment that codifies Term Limits into the Constitution.[10]

  • The Economy: LET'S STRENGTHEN AMERICA'S ECONOMY: We can turn our economy and our country around by focusing Washington on supporting job creators, not discouraging them.
  • Immigration: THE FIRST WORD IN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT IS "ILLEGAL": As a legal immigrant, Eugene takes this issue personally. We have to enforce our laws. That is how you deal with people who are violating the law.
  • The Budget: LET'S RESTORE FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY: It's past time to lower taxes and put a stop to the out of control spending in Washington.
  • The 2nd Amendment: LET'S STOP THE ASSAULT ON OUR RIGHTS & FREEDOMS: The 2nd Amendment, just like all of our other God given rights, is not up for debate.
  • Healthcare: LET'S WAKE UP FROM THE NIGHTMARE OF OBAMACARE: We can reform healthcare the right way. Eugene understands firsthand just how damaging Obamacare has been for individuals, our families, and businesses of every size.[10]
