I am a Small business owner and practicing physician for the past 15 years in Las Vegas, NV. I am currently a single mom raising 3 beautiful girls. I grew up in a small rural town in NC and I completed my undergraduate and medical training at Duke University and Stanford University! I've helped thousands of people conceive and I would like to improve NV for the children that will be growing up here.
1. Small businesses

2. Education
3. Environment

4. Healthcare
Dr. Florence Jameson has been in this community a long time she delivers babies and takes care of women's health issues . In her spare time which she doesn't have much of she has started the Volunteers in Medicine program which now has a fully functional clinic that provides healthcare for uninsured people in NV!
Atlas Shrugged part 3. I believe people need to help themselves but they also have to have the ability and opportunities to do that and that's where government legislation can help make sure the components necessary for success are in place and then it's up the individual to take advantage of it and thrive !
Honesty, integrity, open mindedness, diversity of thought, Compassion
I'm a straight forward open minded genuine person who cares about people and quality of life!
To represent the people's desires of your district and do it without corruption
I would like to make things easier and better for people in my district!
My dad died when I was 13 years old he was a physician as well and after he died my mom who had been a teacher prior to having us had let her certifications expire so she started conducting a home day care and this is where I saw her educating a diverse selection of youth that have gone on to be productive individuals in society! It showed me how important early education is and it showed me that you don't need much to make kids become successful just access to good care, time and stability! I would like to work on getting that type of early upbringing for Young Nevadans!
I was a waitress in medical school at a bar n grill place across from the school! I wanted to work in order to buy a car.
I like books by Malcolm Gladwell like the Tipping Point !
Running two businesses and raising 3 kids mostly on my own without much financial contribution from their father has been difficult but I'm making it happen !
I think the State Assembly has a broader make-up of individuals and given that the districts are smaller than senate districts it allows for more diversity of issues to be addressed on a smaller scale which since I'm from a small town I like having a smaller group to represent!
I think it can be an advantage and a disadvantage. I think it's nice to have fresh ideas introduced and I totally believe in term limits! I hope to bring a fresh perspective to the Nevada legislature as a small business owner and as a physician !
Adjusting to the expansion in population will be the biggest challenge! Creating the infrastructure to deal with that expansion as far as educational facilities, civil services, and traffic accommodations.
I would hope there would be a good working relationship between the two to further assist in getting things accomplished!
Especially since this would be my first time holding public office I would rely heavily on advice of other legislators on certain things.
1. NV education committee

2. Child support committee
3. Nv health initiatives
4. Small business committees

5. Mining regulation committee
