I am the eldest daughter of a working-class Mexican immigrant family and a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. My background is as a government administrative professional who recently worked at city hall as a liaison and project manager. I'm running to represent District 4 as a decade-long neighbor and as someone who shows up to represent our community. I believe our neighborhood deserves to have an active voice representing them at city hall.
  • Neighborhood Safety
  • Community Preservation and Affordable Housing
  • Environmental Stewardship and Saving our Great Salt Lake
I'm excited by the growth we are experiencing. We have an opportunity to shape our neighborhoods long-term to help continue being a place for all types of families and people to live in. I believe our communities are centered in the parks we build, the schools we preserve, and the streets we repair: we determine the families that will make our neighborhood their home. I cannot wait to continue showing up for our Downtown and District 4 families.
I look up to my grandmother, Graciela, who escaped poverty in Mexico to build a better life for her family in the US. I'm eternally grateful for teaching me the value of hardworking and for caring for our community.
I remember 9/11 and the aftermath that chilled our nation. I was 6 years old.
My first job was at 14 years old working at the "Big T" swimming pool. I worked there for two year until it closed.
