Sunshine Review contributors conducted a study of Alaska school district websites from 2010 to 2013.
They researched to determine what type of information is available to the general public on these websites. The following page provides a snapshot of what they learned in the course of this research.

In 2012, Sunshine Review evaluated the ten largest school districts: Anchorage School District, Fairbanks North Star Borough School District, Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District, Kenai Peninsula Borough School District, Juneau School District, Lower Kuskokwim School District, Galena City School District, Kodiak Island Borough School District, Ketchikan Gateway Borough School District, and Northwest Arctic Borough School District. These school districts averaged a C website transparency grade.
