Sunshine Review contributors conducted a study of Florida school district websites from 2010 to 2013.

They researched to determine what type of information is available to the general public on these websites. The following page provides a snapshot of what they learned in the course of this research.

Including special school districts, there is a total of 74 school districts in Florida. Statewide, the districts average 50.9 percent for transparency, earning them a "C" grade. This evaluation was conducted on Feb 21, 2012. The top 10 largest school districts had an 86 percent average, earning them a "B+" website transparency grade.
