Eve Cho Guillergan is a longtime Queens resident and attorney who has spent her career advocating for survivors of domestic violence, refugees, and other vulnerable communities. The daughter of immigrants and the stepdaughter of a Vietnam veteran, she understands the challenges many families face. Eve has spent most of her career in private practice, representing clients with immigration and civil matters. She serves as an arbitrator in the Small Claims Court part of the NYC Civil Court, handling trials and inquests involving everyday legal issues. Eve serves on the boards of Thalia Spanish Theatre and the Sunnyside Shines Community Advisory Board, and has conducted numerous free legal clinics for the public. Eve is dedicated to fairness and judicial integrity.
  • Eve brings over three decades of legal and community experience, including litigation work. She knows how the law impacts people’s daily lives—and she’ll work to ensure that every person is treated with dignity and compassion.
  • Justice should be accessible to everyone. Whether or not someone has a lawyer, lives with a disability, or doesn’t speak English fluently, they deserve to be heard in court and have their case fully understood.
  • A good judge knows how to listen. Throughout her career, Eve has taken the time to truly hear her clients and understand what’s at stake. She’ll bring that same care and attention to the bench—because behind every case is a person who matters.
Eve is committed to serving the Queens and NYC community, where she has lived and worked for many years. She has organized legal clinics, mentored attorneys, and volunteered for programs that support everyday New Yorkers. She'll work to ensure that our courts are welcoming, understandable, and respectful spaces for everyone.
A Civil Court judge must apply the law fairly and impartially, listen carefully to all parties, manage cases efficiently, and make decisions that reflect a deep understanding of both legal principles and real-life consequences. Judges must ensure that the courtroom remains accessible and respectful to all—especially pro se litigants and those from underserved communities.
If elected, Eve hopes to be remembered as a thoughtful and compassionate judge who brought integrity, cultural sensitivity, and fairness to the bench.
Eve is endorsed by over 16 elected officials, including members of Congress, State Senators, Assembly Members, and City Council Members. She is also proudly endorsed by the Filipino American Democratic Club of New York, the Jim Owles Liberal Democratic Club, and the John F. Kennedy Democratic Club (34th AD, Part B).
