Everett Young was the judge of Texas District 297.[1] He did not run for re-election to this position in 2014 and was succeeded by David Hagerman.
Young did run for election to the Tarrant County Criminal Court in 2014, but was defeated in the primary.[2]

Primary: He was defeated in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 31.2 percent of the vote. He competed against Don Hase and David Cook.
