I grew up in Michigan and have built my life here. I live in Livonia with my wife and our two children. I am a Christian and a seminarian, and my faith shapes my commitment to public service and community.

I have spent my career working in local government and public administration, focusing on how government can better serve communities. I also served five years in the Michigan Army National Guard.

I hold a Master of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan.
  • Public utilities for electricity, natural gas, and broadband, which are essential infrastructure that should be operated for the long-term benefit of residents. Just as most communities already provide water through public systems, these core services would be organized as public utilities focused on reliability, fair rates, and long term investment in infrastructure.
  • Student debt relief for committed Michiganders through a Stay to Repay program. Graduates who commit to living and working in Michigan would receive structured student debt reduction over six years, with the remaining balance forgiven at the end of that commitment period.
  • Twenty weeks of paid family leave so families can welcome children while maintaining financial stability. The program would provide paid leave funded through the general fund, with four weeks reserved for each parent to encourage shared caregiving and strong early family support.
I am most passionate about labor policy and public services. I believe strong labor standards and accessible public services are essential to building stable communities and a healthy economy. Policies that support workers, families, and long term economic security are central to that goal.

I am also interested in expanding economic rights that give people greater control over the systems they rely on in daily life. One example is the right to repair, which allows individuals and small businesses to fix and maintain their own equipment rather than being locked into costly proprietary systems. Policies like this strengthen local economies, reduce waste, and ensure that technology and infrastructure remain accountable to the public.
