Scott's campaign website stated the following:

The Economy and Inflation When President Reagan was in office, the United States dollar was the envy of the world. The United States dollar was so treasured that it became the “Reserve Currency” of the entire globe. If Japan sought to purchase oil from Saudi Arabia, they paid for it in American currency. If Mexico wanted toys from China, they too paid in United States dollars. Today we are losing our standing economically on a global scale. Because of our massive debt, the printing of trillions of dollars, our dollar has lost much of its value primarily because of “out of control politicians” who have no concept of managing a checkbook. It is this random printing of money that is causing inflation to rise at record levels. Ezra Scott believes that America must get its financial house in order by cutting waste, defunding outdated government departments (IE; the Department of Education), and balancing our bank account before it is too late.
Ezra Scott believes that what is currently transpiring on our Southern Borders literally approaches criminal acts by this Democrat Administration. One of the largest problems is that “career politicians” do not have the courage to address this issue in the manner it needs to be confronted. Congress must stand up to this administration and shut this abuse of our nation down before it is too late. Ezra on day one will bring this issue to the floor of the House of Representatives. When Joe Biden was sworn in as our President, he took an oath to protect and defend our Constitution, Laws, and our Nation. Through Executive Fiat, he is allowing our Nation to be all but invaded by foreign nationals who have not been vetted, questioned, or had background checks performed. Ezra believes that this flagrant flouting of our countries immigration laws must be stopped. We have laws on the books and have had laws on the books for decades determining a process by which an immigrant could come to the United States and begin the process of becoming a citizen. Ezra Scott believes that we should secure our borders immediately and that we do not need new immigration laws; we only need to enforce the ones we currently have. Ezra believes our Nation was built on immigrants from foreign lands and believes we should continue accepting immigrants; however, this process should be performed legally.
Ask many Americans their feelings about the Pharmaceutical Industry, and you’re likely to get an earful. The sad truth is, many of our legislators on Capitol Hill have been purchased by Big Pharma. Yes, these are grievous charges; however, when looking at the COVID Pandemic situation, it is evident what is going on. Combine this with our current representation from Southwest Michigan voting to allow the government to record and transmit a citizen’s “vaccine” status, plus the fact that under Obamacare, your medical privacy is no longer private. This must change! Ezra Scott is a firm believer in the Constitution, the right to privacy (particularly involving medical information) and will begin investigating how to restore these rights on his first day in office. In addition to our medical privacy rights being stripped, we have Big Pharma out of control on the costs of many medications our citizens need to live. Reports of $500 a month for insulin are beyond absurd and must be stopped.
The lifeblood of our nation is oil, coal, and natural gas. There is simply no getting around that fact. Under President Trump, America was energy independent for the first time in decades. We had stopped shipping hundreds of billions of dollars annually to the Middle East and nations that did not care much for the United States of America. Gasoline, heating oil, and natural gas had once again become very affordable. In less than ninety days under this very flawed and misguided Administration’s new energy policies, gasoline has more than doubled in price. Our national reserves (which are for emergencies only) have been nearly depleted. And once again, OPEC has a stranglehold on our nation’s energy supply. It is fair to ask the question, where are our Republican Legislators on this subject? Precious little has been said on the floor of Congress, and our Representation from Southwest Michigan has been all but silent. Ezra Scott believes that this must be investigated. Why would a President turn over our energy supply to foreign nations when we have an abundance of energy here in our own country? Why would this President shut down our production, put tens of thousands of highly paid workers out of work to enrich Saudi Arabia and other OPEC nations? These questions need to be asked.[2] |
