This measure sought to add to the current school levy by a rate of $.65 per $100 of assessed property value for a continuing period of time in order to further pay for current operational expenses in the school district.[2]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
An additional tax for the benefit of the Fairfield City School District for the purpose of CURRENT OPERATING EXPENSES at a rate not exceeding six and five-tenths (6.5) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to sixty-five cents ($0.65) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3] |
