Falcon Hawkins
Falcon Black Hawkins, Jr. (1927-2005) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina.[1]
Hawkins was nominated by President Jimmy Carter on June 5, 1979, to a new seat created by 92 Stat. 1629; he was confirmed by the Senate on September 25, 1979, and received commission the next day. He served as chief judge from 1990 until he assumed senior status on October 1, 1993. He served until his death on July 20, 2005.[1] Hawkins was succeeded in this position by Cameron Currie.
