Delaware: Family Court judge John E. Henriksen will be removed from office on November 2, 2012, the day after he becomes fully vested in his state pension. He is being removed from office due to an inappropriate relationship he sought with a female attorney who regularly appeared in his courtroom. She rebuffed his repeated overtures beginning in August of 2010 until November 2010 when she made a complaint to the Court on the Judiciary. Her complaint prompted an investigation which found "probable cause" that Henriksen had violated the judicial code of conduct in March of 2011. A final investigation that was completed a year later on March 12, 2012, upheld the allegations and directed that Henriksen be removed from judicial office.

State Rep. Greg Lavelle (R-Sharpley) said "Not a bad deal if you are going to get fired" regarding the timing of Henriksen's removal from office.[1]

Henriksen will take home $85,000 per year after his removal from office.[1]
