Elections
2016
Due to redistricting, this district flipped from safely Republican to safely Democratic. Incumbent Daniel Webster (R) did not seek re-election in the 10th District. He instead ran in the open 11th District. Val Demings (D) defeated Thuy Lowe (R) in the general election on November 8, 2016, to win the seat. Demings defeated Geraldine Thompson, Bob Poe, and Fatima Fahmy in the Democratic primary on August 30, 2016.[3][2]
