Federal Judicial Selection Commission seeks applications for Hawaii federal district judge position

Hawaii: The Federal Judicial Selection Commission has called for applications to fill the Article III judicial vacancy in the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii. The vacancy will open up on June 27, when Judge David Alan Ezra assumes senior status. The application process is confidential and names can be submitted by citizens for other individuals. The committee will forward its top candidates to U.S. Senators Daniel Inouye and Daniel Akaka who will then submit a name to President Barack Obama. The deadline April 2 and applications can be found at Senator Inouye's website, the Senator Akaka's website and the Hawaii State Bar Association's website. Applications should be submitted to:
