Efforts to recall Selectmen Fedor Berndt and Beth Hunt in Winchendon, Massachusetts from their positions were launched in January 2015.[1] The recall election took place on May 4.[2] Both selectmen were recalled.[3]
Recall supporters
The officials were targeted for recall over a $3.8 million budget deficit and a vote to retain an embattled city manager.[1]

The recall petition was approved for circulation. Supporters had until January 28 to submit 954 signatures, which is 15 percent of registered voters, for each petition. At least 20 percent of registered voters - 1,273 - must vote in the recall election for it to be valid.[1]
