Campaign themes

2016

Adams' campaign website highlighted the following issues:

Education: Education is such a valuable investment into our people. If we are unable to provide oppourtunities community members are more likely to move away which has a direct effect on our economic stability. I feel the more we learn, the more we are equipped to give back to our community. Our students and teachers can benefit from housing options, incentive programs, job specific training, student exchange programs and supplemental transportation for extracurricular activities. Through extracurricular activities and extended transportation we can make education more attainable and fun for the student which will contribute to proud parents and proud students.

Housing: Homes are important. Independence and self governance is important. In an attempt to reduce poverty we can better prepare families, students and veterans to function in the greater society. My goal is to improve the big picture by improving the living conditions and expanding services locally that prevent families getting locked into predatory loans, help build equity and promote ownership.

Healthcare: In getting to the root of the problem we will find exponential results. Behaviorial health is directly related to alcoholisim, dietary illnesses, domestic violence and suicide. Consequently these issues do not only affect Native Americans but also takes a heavy toll on elderly, veterans and young people from all nationalities. It has always been my goal to educate on holistic methods and healthy decision making. I would like to assist in ensuring rehabilitation and education programs are improved to effectively target and resolve these issues for the long term. With my healthcare experience I am confident that a rehabilitation program that is covered through health insurance is feasible which, will not only alleviate the need for help but will also alleviate the financial burden upon the tribal, state and county goverments.

Environment: The community we live in, the community we leave for our future generations and the community that attracts people from all over the world is an important investment that affects us all. With tourism serving as a main source of revenue it is especially important to develop and maintian agriculture, energy resources, infrastucture, roads, transportation methods, and water quality as much as it is important to stay connected with technology. Uranium resolutions for the land and for individuals is important and I intend to stand up to ensure proper attention is given to the matter.

Public Safety: Our government relations should be a strength. I am devoted to push for firm teamwork amongst the public safety groups for faster response times, less crime rates and effective regulation. Everyone should feel safe at home, sending their children to school, visiting the community, going to work, enjoying food; our well being is a priority in having confidence to move forward and building upon our foundations.[2]
