Fillmore Rent Control Ordinance, Measure F (November 2009)

A City of Fillmore Rent Control Ordinance, Measure F ballot question was on the November 3, 2009 ballot for voters in the City of Fillmore in Ventura County, where it was defeated.[1]
Measure F was known by its supporters as the "Fair Rent and Homeownership Initiative." If voters had approved Measure F, it would have established rent control and offered ownership of condo conversions at El Dorado Mobile Estates. 1,500 signatures were collected to qualify the measure for the ballot.
Conducting the election cost the City of Fillmore about $20,000. Fillmore has a population of about 14,000 residents.
