This measure sought to renew the current school levy which was set at a rate of $.49 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for current expenses in the school district.[2]

The question on the ballot:
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Findlay City School District, Hancock County, Ohio for the purpose of CURRENT EXPENSES at a rate not exceeding 4.9 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to forty-nine cents ($0.49) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3] |
