A Jackson County Fire District 5 Bond Measure was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Jackson County, which is in Oregon, where it was defeated.
The measure authorized the issue up to $1.8 million for the purchase of fire trucks and equipment for the Phoenix, Talent, and Ashland stations.
According to the Jackson County Assessor, the levy of these bonds would increase property tax by $0.14 per $1000 in real assessed property value.[1]

Language on the ballot:
| “ | Shall Jackson County Fire District No. 5 be authorized to issue general obligation bonds not exceeding $1,800,000? If the bonds are approved, they will be payable from taxes on property or property ownership that are not subject to the limits of sections 11 and 11b, Article XI of the Oregon Constitution.[1][2] | ” |
