A Flint City Property Tax Amendment proposal was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Genesee County, which is in Michigan, where it was approved.

This proposal amended the City of Flint Charter to authorize the City to levy an additional property tax of up to 6 mills ($6 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for 5 years in order to proved police and fire protection services. The estimated first year revenue is $5,383,924.[1]
