Floyd Fitzgibbons was a 2012 Independent American Party candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 4th Congressional District of Nevada.

Fitzgibbons was defeated by Democratic candidate Steven Horsford on November 6, 2012.[1]

Biography

Fitzgibbons was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. From 1977 to 1992, he worked as a truck driver. Since then, he has been working as an insurance agent. In 2002, he founded his own insurance company, Fitzgibbons and Associates.[2]

Fitzgibbons ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Nevada's 4th District. Fitzgibbons ran unopposed in the Independent American Party primary on June 12, 2012.

Fitzgibbons has been married for 28 years and has 2 children. He converted from the Presbyterian Church to the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints, where he now serves in a leadership position.[2]
