Rayburn's campaign website highlighted the following issues:
“ |
JOBS. JOBS. JOBS. Government doesn’t create jobs, but it sure can get in the way and cost us jobs. Floyd will work to get government out of the way by calling for a moratorium on all new business regulations and working to reduce taxes through mandate relief for local governments. TERM LIMITS. The root of corruption in Albany is career politicians who lose sight of why they’re there. Floyd believes in Term Limits for all State Elected Officials - three terms for Senators and Assemblymen and two terms for the Governor and other statewide officials. REAL ETHICS REFORM. Enough with the window-dressing that Albany politicans call Ethics Reform. The first bill Floyd will introduce will require mandatory jailtime for elected officials convicted of corruption, and strip them of their taxpayer-funded pensions. STOP CUOMO'S "SAFE ACT" Andrew Cuomo’s so-called “SAFE Act” infringes on our Second Amendment Rights. If the liberal Downstate politicans won’t repeal this bad law, Floyd will fight to de-fund the program so it can’t be enforced.[5] |
