Ford E. Stinson, Jr. was the chief judge of the 26th Judicial District, Division B in Louisiana. He was first elected to this position on November 5, 1996.[1][2] He retired at the end of his final term on December 31, 2014.[3]

Education

Stinson received both his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Louisiana State University. He was admitted to the bar in 1977.[4][5]

Career

Stinson practiced law from 1977 until his judicial election in 1996. Prior to his election, he also worked as chief indigent defender.[5]

Military service

Stinson was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve.[5]
