Former NM Judge attacked and severly beaten

Socorro, NM On Friday, August 5, 2011 former New Mexico Seventh Judicial District Court Judge Tom Fitch was brutally beaten in his office. Police responded to the call at 7:25 p.m. but the police felt the attack had taken place much earlier. He was immediately transported to the hospital and later underwent surgery. New Mexico State Police is leading the investigation and individuals with information are encouraged to call the Socorro Police Department at 575-835-1883.[1]
