Tennessee: On Saturday, May 21, former Circuit Court Judge William Dale Young (Tennessee) was found dead in his home at 73 yeas old. Blount County Commissioner Peggy Lambert, a friend of the deceased, reported that Young passed away peacefully and said, "We have lost a great man, a dear friend and someone who has enriched all of our lives just by knowing him." Young was the Division I judge of the Blount County Circuit Court until January of this year, when he retired after 32 years on the bench. Prior to that Young was in private practice as an attorney for 8 years. Another close friend, former Mayor Jerry Cunningham, said this of former Judge Young, "He was one of my best friends, an outstanding jurist and a wonderful Blount Countian. We are going to miss him."[1]
