Four Indiana Democrats charged with forgery

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana: Four Democrats in St. Joseph County charged with forgery and petition fraud related to the 2008 primary elections appeared in court Monday, May 21. The defendants, which include former county Democratic chair Butch Morganare, Pam Brunette, Dustin Blythe, and Beverly Shelton, are accused of forging signatures to place President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on state ballots. The judge has allowed a motion to have petition signatures examined by a handwriting analyst. August 27 has been set as the next court day.[1]
