Four appointed to Utah's Second Judicial District

Utah: Governor Gary Herbert appointed four individuals to the Utah Second Judicial District late last week. They are:
- Judge Michelle E. Heward, of the Riverdale Justice Court (also a professor of criminal justice), who will replace retiring L. Kent Bachman on the Juvenile Court;
- Jeffrey J. Noland, a managing attorney at a private law firm, will replace Juvenile Court judge Stephen A. Van Dyke;
- David R. Hamilton, a private practice attorney, will replace Jon M. Memmott; and
- Noel S. Hyde, a private practice attorney, will replace District Court judge Pamela G. Heffernan.
All these nominees must be confirmed by the Utah Senate before joining the court.[1]
