Fox C-6 School District is located in Jefferson County, Mo.

Fox C-6 School District is located in east-central Missouri in Jefferson County. The county seat of Jefferson County is Hillsboro. Jefferson County had a population of 221,396 residents, according to the United States Census Bureau in 2014.[1] In the 2011-2012 school year, Fox C-6 School District was the 15th-largest school district in Missouri and served 12,333 students.[2]

Demographics

In 2013, Jefferson County had a lower percentage of residents with a bachelor's degree compared to the state overall. The United States Census Bureau reported that 17.4 percent of residents aged 25 and older in the county had earned a bachelor's degree, compared with 26.2 percent for Missouri. The median household income in Jefferson County was $54,845, higher than the state median of $47,380. The poverty rate in the county was 11.3 percent, compared to 15.5 percent for Missouri as a whole.[1]

Voter and candidate information

As of the 2014 election, the Fox C-6 School District Board of Education consisted of seven members elected at-large to three-year terms. There was no primary election, and the general election was held on April 8, 2014.[4] Three at-large seats were on the ballot in 2014, two seats were on the ballot in 2015, and the remaining seats appeared on the ballot in 2016.[5]

The filing deadline for school board candidates to get on the ballot in the general election was January 28, 2014.[6]
