Frances Doherty
Frances Doherty was a judge for the Second Judicial District Court in Nevada. She was first elected to the court in 2002.[1][2] She retired on August 2, 2019.[3]

Doherty ran for re-election to the Second Judicial District Court. She was elected without opposition in the primary on June 10, 2014.[4][2]
Education
Doherty received her undergraduate degree from Illinois State University and her J.D. degree from Northern Illinois University in 1985.[5][6]
Career
Before she became a district judge, Doherty served as a family division master for the Second Judicial District Court for five years.[1] She also previously served as an attorney and later the executive director for the Washoe Legal Services, as a deputy attorney general for the Nevada Commission on Ethics, and as a counsel for the Nevada Office of Consumer Affairs.[6]
