Frances Rothschild is a judge for Division 1 of the California 2nd District Court of Appeal. She assumed office on April 4, 2005. Her current term ends on January 8, 2035.
Rothschild ran for re-election for the Division 1 judge of the California 2nd District Court of Appeal. She won in the retention election on November 8, 2022.
Rothschild is the presiding justice of the Second District, Division One of the California Courts of Appeal. She was appointed to the court by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on February 10, 2005, and took her oath of office on April 4, 2005. She was retained in 2006.[1][2][3] On June 28, 2014, she was appointed presiding justice of Division One, and was confirmed by the California Commission on Judicial Appointments in July.[4][5] She successfully ran for retention in 2014.[6][7]
