Francine Axelrad
Francine I. Axelrad is a senior judge for the Vicinage 4 Superior Court in Camden County, New Jersey. She was recalled to service on March 10, 2014 for a two-year term.[1] She joined the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division on September 1, 2000, and she served as the presiding judge from September 1, 2008 until her retirement.[2]
Education
Axelrad graduated from Connecticut College in 1974 and from Rutgers University School of Law at Camden with her J.D. in 1977.[3]
Career
Judge Axelrad began her career as an attorney with the law firm Shmerelson, Weinroth and Etish. She then worked as the director of the Department of Law for Cherry Hill until Governor Florio appointed her to the Tax Court in 1993. During her time on this court, she also served for a few years on the Family Division of the Superior Court. In 2000, she joined the Superior Court.[3]
