Francine Sandoval
Francine Sandoval was a candidate for the Trustee Area 3 seat on the Colton Joint Unified School District Board of Education in California. She ran against two fellow candidates for a two-year term in the general election on November 4, 2014.[1][2][3] Francine Sandoval lost the general election on November 4, 2014.
Biography
A California native, Sandoval attended Colton Joint Unified School District schools. She earned her B.A. in psychology from California State University at San Bernardino and went on to earn her Master's in clinical social work from Loma Linda University.[4]
Professionally, Sandoval has worked as a clinical social worker since 1999. She has also been a business owner and has mentored youth for 25 years.[4]
Elections
2014
Five seats on the Colton Joint Unified School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. One board member from Trustee Area 1, two members from Trustee Area 2 and one member from Trustee Area 3 were up for re-election to four-year terms. Another seat from Trustee Area 3 was up for election to a two-year term due to a vacancy on the board.
Trustee Area 1 incumbent Randall Ceniceros ran unopposed and won re-election by default. The Trustee Area 2 race featured two incumbents, Pilar Tabera and Dan Flores, and one challenger, Juan Rodriguez, running for two seats. Tabera and Flores won their bids for re-election. In Trustee Area 3, incumbent Joanne E. Thoring-Ojeda ran unopposed and won re-election to a four-year term by default. The two-year term election in Trustee Area 3 featured candidates Kent Taylor, Jennifer Araiza and Francine Sandoval. Taylor defeated the other candidates to win the seat.
