Francis E. Flannery
Francis “Frank” E. Flannery is an associate justice for the Massachusetts Superior Court. He was nominated to the court by Governor Charlie Baker (R) on July 25, 2018, and was unanimously confirmed by the Governor's Council on August 22, 2018.[1][2]
Flannery may serve on the court until he turns the mandatory retirement age of 70.
Education
Flannery earned a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts in 1989 and a J.D. from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, in 1994.[3]
Career
- 2018-present: Associate justice, Massachusetts Superior Court
Prior to his judicial appointment, Flannery was of counsel at the Law Office of Parker & O’Grady. He previously served as first assistant district attorney at the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office and in the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office as an assistant district attorney and as chief of the elders and persons with disabilities unit.[1]
