Francis M. Allegra was a senior judge for the United States Court of Federal Claims. He joined the court in 1998 after being nominated by President Bill Clinton.[1] He died on August 27, 2015.[2]

Education

Allegra earned a B.A. at Borromeo College of Ohio in 1978 and a J.D. in 1981 at Cleveland State University.[1]

Professional career

Prior to joining the court, Allegra was a Deputy Associate Attorney General at the United States Department of Justice from 1994 to 1998. Previously, he worked in the Tax Division as Counselor to the Assistant Attorney General.Cite error: The opening <ref> tag is malformed or has a bad name

Allegra also works as an adjunct professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center.[1]

Judicial career

Federal Claims

Allegra was nominated to the United States Court of Federal Claims by President Bill Clinton and was confirmed by the Senate. He joined the court on October 22, 1998.[1]
