Primary: She was defeated in the Democratic primary on June 3, 2014, receiving 31.4 percent of the vote. She competed against Hilda R. Bowman, Titus J. Nez, and Charley Long.

Palochak served in the United States Navy from 1973 to 1977 and obtained the rank of yeoman 4th class.[3]
