|- Anaheim has seen a surge in homelessness due to the lack of income-based housing in our city. Our mayor and city council have consistently voted against enforcing tenant protections and requiring low-to-middle income housing in new developments. They are almost all "market rate" luxury homes.
- The city of Anaheim belongs to its residents, not the hotel conglomerates, Disneyland, or real estate developers. We need a Council not funded by and beholden to these special interests.
- The proposal is for an entertainment tax on Disneyland and its hotels, the civic center, and all major league sporting events.
This tax will fund scholarships for public schools, it will provide meals, school supplies, afterschool activities and income based babysitting services.
This tax will also fund community police to patrol the neighborhoods and parks. They must be trained in
de-escalating techniques, only use non-lethal methods and must live in the community they serve.
