Campaign themes

2016

Bedolla's campaign website highlighted the following issues:

Strong Public Education

I will work to support teachers and provide sufficient funding for public education.

A Living Wage for Working Families

No one who works full time to support a family should have to live in poverty. I will immediately support an increase of Utah's minimum wage.

Economic Opportunities

I will work with state and local officials to bring higher education and job training opportunities to our communities. I will propose expanding the presence of Applied Technology Colleges and Community Colleges into our neighborhoods and high schools.

Equal Pay for Equal Work

Disparity in wages based on gender is totally unacceptable. I will immediately support a bill providing equal pay for equal work in Utah.

Clean Air

I will protect your health and the health of your children and family by aggressively supporting measures to clean up our air and protect our environment.[2]
