Frank Dermody
Frank Dermody (Democratic Party) was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 33. He assumed office in 1991. He left office on November 30, 2020.
Dermody (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to represent District 33. He lost in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Dermody served as state house minority leader from 2011 to 2020.[1]
Biography
Dermody earned his B.A. in history from Columbia University in 1973 and his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law in 1982. His professional experience includes working as a district justice for Verona from 1987 to 1989 and as an attorney.

2014
Elections for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Incumbent Frank Dermody was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Sean Watson was set to face Gretchen Justine Schmitt in the Republican primary, but Schmitt withdrew from the race on March 25, 2014, leaving Watson unopposed. Dermody defeated Watson in the general election.[6][7][8]

2012
Dermody ran in the 2012 election for Pennsylvania House District 33. Dermody ran unchallenged in the Democratic primary on April 24 and defeated Gerry Vaerewyck (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012. [9][10]

Dermody won re-election to District 33 in 2010. He had no primary opposition and defeated Republican Gerry Vaerewyck in the general election which took place on November 2, 2010.[11]

On November 4, 2008, Dermody won re-election to District 33 of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He received 14,601 votes, defeating Republican Jason Davidek (14,013).[12]

On 7 November 2006, Dermody won re-election to District 33 in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He received 11,317 votes, or 51.0 percent of the total vote. His Republican challenger, Eileen Watt, received 10,893 votes, or 49.1 percent of the total vote.[13]
