Frank Burton Ellis (1907-1969) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Ellis was nominated by President John F. Kennedy on February 2, 1962, to a seat vacated by James Wright; he was confirmed by the Senate on April 3, 1962, and received his commission on April 12, 1962. He assumed senior status on November 16, 1965. He served the Eastern District of Louisiana until his death on November 3, 1969.[1] Ellis was succeeded in this position by Frederick Heebe.
